About the Event
2016 will mark our 5th annual Chicago SUP YACS Classic, which is a chance for everyone in the Chicagoland area to come down to Montrose Beach in Chicago and STAND UP for Young Adult Cancer Survivors (YACS) through standup paddle board (SUP) races, relays and family-friendly beach activities.
This year, while we'll have our regular men's and women's sprint races for recreational and elite classes across all age groups, we want our 4-person relay to be especially big, so if you want to have a blast with 3 of your co-workers and represent your company or organization for an amazing cause, check out the details here. This event is also an incredible way to get the word out about your organization or cause, so if you're interested in being an event sponsor, please check out our sponsorship kit here. This event is co-founded and hosted by True North Treks and Surfrider Foundation-Chicago, which is a non-profit dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our lakes and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research, and education. Together, and with the support of Kayak Chicago and the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center we're thrilled to be having this annual event, from which all proceeds will benefit young adults with cancer. If you can't make it to the event but would like to support us through a tax-deductible donation, please click here. |
